about

This is a very strange and deeply mystical track. It started out with a strange chord I once did over a strange synth patch. All I had was that, but that chord with that sound was so interesting to me that I thought I’d make a whole composition over it. So, I kept adding strange sounds and manipulated percussion loops and ‘played’ the filters and other parameters of the synth chord throughout the recording.
Later I added a slide guitar trying to translate the ‘emotion’ of that chord into melodies (slide is very good for that!).
Much later, I recorded a bass (totally inspired by Tony Levin’s performance on “Requiem”, a track from King Crimson’s BEAT album).
Most of all, I tried to not resolve the chord in any moment! I like it suspended! A strange awareness through the whole track. A sort of a deep meditation state that suddenly you’re in and reach some levels of existence that you never thought existed before! That idea moves me so much! (Secretly, I’d say I try something like that every night...unfortunately, falling asleep instead...but I’m getting there…).
