AFTER THE RAIN THE SUN CONQUERS THE AFTERNOON
This is an old track of mine originally produced on the Kaossiltor Pro and recorded in Reason. One night, after almost ten years, I decided to lay down a lead guitar part. I did it just for later realizing I have made a mistake concerning the input of my interface (my guitar was on the 'MIC' input mode) resulting in a very noisy recording. But I liked the recording, the spontaneity, the impulse that drove me to record in the middle of the night so...I left it the way it was. BUT, following a Kenny Gioia advice, I used a plugin in Reaper (ReaTune) to control the great Helm (VST synthesizer) from the recorded guitar solo. This way I could get rid of the noise and was surprised to hear the result! It was like this was meant to be this way! This is what my track was waiting all these years, this particular noisy guitar solo sitting on top of two synthesized sounds. I think now the track is complete, the musical message is fully formed and I can, at last, send it to the world. As a matter of fact, I added another instance of Helm and played synth bass on the keyboard to really wrap the recording up. So that's it...this is what sounds like when, after a beautiful and sweet rain, the sun comes back to paint the afternoon with beautiful colors, perfumes, and fresh air.
